Job summary

Connecticut Innovations seeks a CBIF Managing Director/Director to lead bioscience portfolio investments, due diligence, and strategic growth initiatives in New Haven. You will source opportunities, drive market and financial analysis, and mentor junior team members while collaborating with the CI board.

The role requires deep venture capital experience, a track record of securing deals, and an existing network across academia, industry partners, and co-investors. Residency in CT is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in biosciences is strongly preferred.
• PhD or MD/PhD is a meaningful advantage for the role.
• Proven track record in origination, due diligence, and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Investment origination and pipeline development across bioscience sectors.
• Deal execution including market, product, and competitive analysis; terms and close.
• Financial modeling and valuation support for CBIF investments.
• Prepare investment memos and present to CI advisory committees and the Board.
• Portfolio company governance including board seats or observer roles.
