Career Launch seeks a Venture Advisor in New York for venture readiness assessment and founder introductions. This is a remote independent contractor role for an experienced professional who already participates in the startup ecosystem.

You will build trusted relationships with founders, operators, investors, accelerators, and startup advisors in New York, qualify opportunities, and manage permission-based outreach with careful documentation for the internal team.

Qualifications

• This role requires established relationships in the New York startup ecosystem.
• Experience as a founder, operator, investor, advisor, accelerator leader, consultant, attorney, accountant, recruiter, or partnership professional is valued.
• Strong judgment about founder fit, timing, confidentiality, and consent.
• Clear written and verbal communication with senior professionals.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with founders, operators, investors, accelerators, and startup advisors in New York.
• Identify founders whose companies and objectives fit the qualification criteria.
• Hold initial conversations to understand company, stage, goals, and needs.
• Obtain permission before making introductions or sharing contact information.
• Provide concise, accurate context for the internal team to prepare for founder conversations.
• Maintain timely records of outreach, introductions, status, and follow-up.
• Represent the organization accurately without promising funding or outcomes.
