Job summary

Meadowbrook Care Center in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a dedicated RT (Respiratory Therapist) to join our brand-new Vent Unit. This role offers the flexibility of PRN/part-time or full-time scheduling within a supportive, collaborative long-term care environment.

You will operate ventilators, administer oxygen, monitor patients, assist with breathing exercises, document progress, and work with physicians to optimize recovery. A licensed graduate from an accredited program is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Active Ohio Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Vent care or long-term care experience preferred.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Ready to contribute in a new vent unit.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate mechanical ventilators and related equipment.
• Administer oxygen therapy and aerosol medications as prescribed.
• Monitor patient response and vital signs.
• Assist with breathing exercises and recovery plans.
• Ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
• Document therapy and patient progress in charts.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team members.
• Train staff and contribute to best practices in respiratory care.
