Job summary

Tallmadge Health & Rehab Center in Ohio seeks a compassionate RN to join a specialized respiratory care team in a skilled nursing facility. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to residents with complex pulmonary needs, collaborating with Respiratory Therapists and the interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes tracheostomy care, suctioning, breathing treatments, and pulmonary rehabilitation, with supervision of nursing staff to ensure the highest standard of care.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
  • Must possess a current CPR certification.
  • Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic health record software.
  • Ventilator/tracheostomy patient care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care focused on residents with pulmonary needs in collaboration with the Respiratory Therapy team.
  • Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, breathing treatments, and pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Assess residents, develop individualized care plans, and administer and evaluate nursing care.
  • Supervise nursing assistants and other staff in delivering care in a SNF setting, complying with regulations.

Position Summary:

You will work specifically as an RN within the Respiratory Department under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Therapy. This role focuses on tracheostomy care, suctioning, breathing treatments, and pulmonary rehabilitation. You will collaborate closely with Respiratory Therapists and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes and promote residents’ comfort, dignity, and quality of life. As needed, you will also assess residents’ needs, develop an individualized care plan, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care, and supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care in a SNF setting. Such supervision must be in accordance with the current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our community, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or designee to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community’s administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN within the state in which you work.

  • Must possess a current CPR certification.

  • Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.

  • Previous experience with ventilator/tracheostomy patient care strongly preferred, but not required.

Shift & Wage:
  • Part-Time Opportunity Available

  • Shifts Needed:

    • 7:00a - 1:30p

    • 7:00p - 1:30a

  • Wage: Up to $42.00 per hour
