Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Vendor Security Technical Program Manager to lead security engagements with vendors, assess risks, and drive practical mitigations across teams.

You will independently scope, assess data flows, and coordinate with Legal, Procurement, and vendors to implement secure controls and reusable patterns. This role blends technical judgment with delivery leadership in a fast-paced AI-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Independently assess consequential third‑party or supply‑chain security risks.
• Understand security principles and controls across data protection, access, app security, and incident response.
• Know ISO 27001, NIST 800‑53 and SOC 2 frameworks for engagement assessments.
• Translate findings into practical contractual positions with Legal and Procurement.
• Deliver usable security improvements, test behavior, and own post‑launch performance.
• Ability to leverage Codex or similar AI tools to inspect and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Own vendor security engagements from scoping through reassessment when facts change.
• Understand vendor use cases, data flows, identities, access, and supply‑chain dependencies.
• Assess architectures, configurations, controls, logs, and operating practices.
• Develop practical treatments and drive implementation with owners.
• Build reusable security patterns with evidence requirements and review triggers.
• Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, and vendors on security addenda and terms.
• Define requirements, roadmap, and success measures for bounded programs.
• Lead delivery across Security and partner teams with clear milestones.
• Use incidents and threat information to improve program decisions.
• Explain tradeoffs and update priorities as evidence evolves.
