Job summary

Universal Health Services in Las Vegas seeks a Patient Account Specialist - Vendor Specialist to act as a liaison between our facilities and external vendor partners, ensuring accurate billing and prompt resolution of account discrepancies.

The role collaborates with billing, coding and collections teams to manage patient accounts, with 1–3 years of medical insurance experience and a high school diploma. On-site schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare billing, patient accounts, EOBs (explanation of benefits) and revenue cycle operations.
• Familiarity with denial management and appeals is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and auditing experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and 10-key data entry.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the organization and external vendor partners regarding patient account inquiries.
• Manage patient financial accounts and ensure accurate billing.
• Collaborate with billing, coding and collections to resolve outstanding balances.
• Assist in reducing discrepancies and supporting revenue cycle processes.

Job Description: Patient Account Specialist-Vendor Specialist Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM

The Vendor Specialist serves as a key liaison between the healthcare organization and its external vendor partners regarding patient account inquiries. This this role focuses on managing patient financial accounts, ensures accurate billing, and resolves account discrepancies. Working collaboratively with billing, coding, and collections to resolve outstanding balances.

Qualifications

Experience:

1-3 years medical insurance experience, and/or equivalent experience in a hospital setting.

Education:
High School or equivalent. Medical billing/Collections coding education a plus.

Requirements:

• Experience in healthcare billing, patient accounts, explanation of benefits, medical insurance verification, and revenue cycle operations.
• Familiarity with denial management and appeals preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and auditing experience.
