Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) - Western Region Consolidated Business Office (WCBO) seeks a Patient Account Specialist-Vendor Specialist to support vendor partnerships and patient account inquiries. This role focuses on accurate billing and resolving account discrepancies while collaborating with billing, coding, and collections teams.

The position emphasizes attention to detail, familiarity with denial management, and proficient Excel/Word/data entry within a healthcare revenue cycle context.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years medical insurance experience, and/or equivalent hospital setting experience.
• High School or equivalent. Medical billing/Collections coding education a plus.
• Experience in healthcare billing, patient accounts, explanation of benefits, and revenue cycle operations.
• Familiarity with denial management and appeals preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and auditing experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and 10-key data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Vendor Specialist serves as liaison between the healthcare organization and external vendor partners regarding patient account inquiries.
• Manages patient financial accounts, ensures accurate billing, and resolves account discrepancies.
• Collaborates with billing, coding, and collections to resolve outstanding balances.
