Job summary

The New York Public Library (NYPL) in New York, NY seeks a Manager of Vendor Digitization Services to lead outsourced digitization projects across a variety of formats. You will coordinate with internal teams and external labs, ensuring preservation standards, timely delivery, and robust vendor governance.

You will oversee a Media Preservation Coordinator, manage contracts and budgets, and drive improvements in logistics and QC workflows to advance NYPL’s digitization goals and access

Qualifications

• End-to-end management of outsourced digitization projects, from RFP to delivery.
• Oversee and develop the Media Preservation Coordinator.
• Administer vendor contracts, MSAs, and large OTPS/grant budgets.
• Coordinate secure transport of collection materials to external facilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for external labs and manage RFPs, quotes, and deadlines.
• Lead and evaluate the Media Preservation Coordinator.
• Ensure asset tracking and QC across vendor lifecycle.
• Maintain documentation and coordinate with internal teams.
