Qualifications

• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• Must operate a motor vehicle safely.
• Must pass appropriate background checks including security clearances.
• Must complete the GSA defensive driving course.

Responsibilities

• Pass vending route instructions and set pace for vending functions.
• Monitor schedules and priorities; inform supervisor of issues.
• Provide input on staff performance appraisals and leave requests.
• Ensure adequate staffing to meet work demands.
• Review route inventory for machines and trucks.
• Inspect machines for cleanliness, pricing, and expiration dates.
• Operate a vehicle to transport merchandise between Navy Exchanges.
• Complete pre/post trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Maintain Exchange-owned machines and replenish merchandise.
• Set up prices on machines and maintain price lists.
• Assist relocating and installing new machines; clean and calibrate units.
• Inspect and test machines; clear jams.
• Collect cash from vending machines and reconcile slips.
• Perform vehicle maintenance checks and record repairs.
• Keep the area around machines clean and orderly.
• Work under supervision, follow policies, report issues.
