Position Summary

Stocks vending products and maintains vending machines. Employee must have a valid NYS Drivers License, and submit to a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination, in order to obtain a DOT card. Company drug screen testing also required.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position whose schedule is based on the customers’ needs and the needs of the business. The position primarily works a set schedule during the school year. Must be available days, evenings, weekends, with varied hours as business requires. Required to work events including concessions/catering events as needed and schedule to vary based on customer’s needs. Scheduled shifts can vary in length. This position is considered a non‑exempt position, which means that you will be eligible for overtime time pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek.

Essential Functions

• Re‑stocking of vending machines on a daily basis.
• Re‑stocking of vending trucks with products.
• Collecting cash from vending machines on a weekly basis.
• Cleans vending area as they are being serviced, including microwave ovens.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on vending machines.
• Performs light technical troubleshooting of vending machine related problems.
• Performs light repairs on vending equipment.
• Performs inventories of vending truck and vending machines.
• Cleans and organizes warehouse, and unloads products.

Education and Training

• High School Diploma

Desired Qualifications

• 2 years of work experience.
• Experience in inventory and cash reconciliation, profit and loss statement preparation, and product requisition processing.

Work Environment

• The work environment can be loud and busy. There is exposure to kitchen hazards such as hot surfaces and liquids, sharp knives, and slippery falls.
• The position operates in a kitchen environment where the employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, fire, and noise.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures in coolers and freezers.
• In and out of vehicles moving vending product to stock.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Position is very active and the employee must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours.
• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, stretch, twist, or reach out.
• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• Position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
• The employee must have the ability to use hands to finger, manipulate fingers; and reach with hands and arms, to stir, measure, pour, cut, chop, dice, and decorate, etc.
• Position requires working taste buds, ability to smell, feel with fingers and visually inspect, including close and distance vision.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Valid NYS driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to demonstrate safe driving practices.
• The selected candidate will be required to complete and pass a background check including criminal history and motor vehicle verification.
