Job summary

Ritchie Bros. in Dayton, OH is seeking a Yard Staff member to join our frontline operations at the auction facility. You will be detail-oriented, practical, and ready to work outdoors in all weather, prioritizing safety while contributing to smooth, efficient vehicle processing.

You’ll learn and use a range of tools and equipment, with training provided in forklift and loader operation, and collaborate with a team to deliver excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible to operate a motor vehicle.
• Outdoors work with physical demands; read and follow safety rules.
• Positive attitude and teamwork; interest in cars helpful.
• Basic automotive repair or rental/construction experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20–100 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle check-in by recording information for the facility.
• Detail vehicles to improve appearance and value at auction.
• Operate passenger vehicles safely within the facility.
• Recover keys, plates, and store information properly.
• Assist visitors and guide them to the right contact.
• Train on forklift and loader operation.
