Job summary

Carolina Handling, LLC seeks a Vehicle Upfit Supervisor to lead a team performing interior van upfits, including racking, fabrications, and related components. The role involves hands-on leadership, quality checks, and coordinating with Procurement and Fleet to ensure timely, high-quality output.

Ideal candidates will lead from the floor, drive process improvements, and manage inventory and workflow status to support scalable operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a hands-on operational environment.
• Experience supervising and training teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a working supervisor and assist with upfit work during launches and high-volume periods.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews on completed vehicles before release.
• Manage inventory for upfit components and monitor stock levels and lead times.
• Track vehicle status across the upfit process and coordinate with internal teams.
• Develop standard working procedures and identify process improvements.
• Build reporting tools, dashboards, and trackers to communicate status and capacity.
