Mobile Communications America, Inc. seeks an experienced Vehicle Installer in Winston-Salem, NC to install and modify vehicles for emergency-related equipment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of technical experience or combination of related education/experience.
• Basic knowledge of installing systems/equipment in various vehicle types (e.g., 2-way radios, controls, lighting, cameras, antennas, GPS, sirens).
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and install accordingly.
• Basic ability to test/troubleshoot electrical and system issues.
• Ability to route wiring, install wiring harnesses, drill holes, solder, and perform upfits.
• Understanding of wire gauges and fuses based on DC current demand.
• Ability to use basic tools and test equipment (hand tools, power drill, multi-meters, watt meters).

Responsibilities

• Connect electrical fittings, drill holes, solder, and modify vehicles for equipment acceptance.
• Install electrical wiring, antenna systems, data and power cabling, and connectors.
• Disassemble/reassemble trim, seats, lights, and carpets to route wiring and install equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems as needed.
• Complete installations for various vehicle makes/models (sedans, SUVs, trucks, buses, motorcycles, ATVs).
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and organize tools.
• Learn new products/skills from colleagues and manufacturers.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.
• Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
