Job summary

Eaton’s IS VEH VGGP division in Marshall, MI is seeking a Garage Services Technician to support vehicle development, testing, and validation at the Eaton Proving Grounds. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on test vehicles and supporting equipment.

The role requires hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, instrument setup, data acquisition, and interpreting engineering drawings.

Qualifications

Minimum High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution.
ASE Certified mechanic/equivalent certification AND/OR a minimum of 4 years’ experience in automotive technician/testing lab or motorsports setting.
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in diagnosing vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting on test vehicles and supporting equipment.
Set up test benches and vehicles to support vehicle dynamics testing activities.
Interpret work requests with engineers and document results and calibration records.
Operate diagnostics tools and data acquisition systems to identify and resolve issues.
Assist with drivetrain and chassis evaluations during vehicle testing.
