Job summary

BERTRANDT US INC is seeking a Test Driver in Allendale, NJ to support durability testing for new vehicles. You will drive according to established procedures and prepare daily driver reports, performing related vehicle prep tasks and occasionally clerical duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Four years licensed driving experience is required.
• Driving record must be clear.
• Knowledge of vehicle components, systems, and operating procedures is needed.
• Ability to drive an automatic transmission is required; knowledge of manual transmission is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive approved durability schedules according to established procedures.
• Prepare accurate Driver Reports daily.
• Perform driving/vehicle preparation tasks, including shuttling and detailing.
• Assist with clerical work as required by supervision.
• Follow Bertrandt policies and procedures and act as a mentor to other drivers when assigned.

The Test Driver, under the direction of Lead Driver/Facility Coordinator performs various driving test on new vehicle not out in the public market.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, M-F and weekends possible (1st Shift)

Pay Rate: $17.00 an hour

Job Duties:

• Drive approved durability schedules in accordance with all established procedures.
• Prepare accurate Drivers Reports on a daily basis.
• Perform other related driving / vehicle preparation work as required. Such work includes vehicle shuttling, detailing, etc.
• Assists with clerical work or other jobs as required by Supervision.
• Follow policies and procedures of both Bertrandt Engineering.
• Act as a mentor to other drivers if assigned to do so.
