Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic at our Vale of Glamorgan Fusion centre. You will service, repair and replace parts, and tackle more complex tasks such as clutches, timing belts and diagnostics across brakes, steering and suspension.

We offer a base salary of £32,000 with an uncapped monthly bonus scheme averaging £6,600 per year, and on-target earnings up to £38,600. Enjoy 5.6 weeks’ holiday, staff discounts, pension and more.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Able to perform diagnostics across brakes, steering and suspension.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles to a high standard.
• Carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements.
• Perform diagnostics and electrical/system checks.
