Job summary

Halfords is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles in our UK Autocentres. You will handle routine servicing and more complex tasks such as clutches, timing belts and diagnostics, with opportunities to progress through hybrid training and ATA/MOT qualifications.

Ideal candidates hold a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, possess a full UK driving licence with ≤9 points, and have hands-on diagnostic experience across brakes,

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time-served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repairs, including complex tasks such as clutches, timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
• Perform diagnostic work on brakes, steering/suspension, and engine systems.
• Work on electrical, coolant, diesel injectors, head gasket and other major repairs.

• On-target earnings up to £45,000
• Comprising a base salary of £32,790 - £38,100
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £6,900 per year.
• 5 days a week (closed on Sunday's)
