Job summary

Northwest Ambulance Critical Care Transport is seeking a Vehicle Supply Technician in Mountlake Terrace, WA. You will manage and maintain ambulance inventory, stock vehicles with medical supplies, and keep equipment in ready-to-respond condition.

Responsibilities include cleaning ambulances, inspecting gear, organizing stockrooms, and assisting with fleet operations. A high school diploma is required; background checks and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred at least 1 year of related experience.
• Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical supplies is desirable.
• Background check and drug screening required during onboarding.
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and wash ambulances, interior and exterior.
• Stock ambulances with medical supplies and equipment.
• Inspect and maintain medical equipment and ensure proper function.
• Maintain and clean gurneys, CCT, and Bariatric equipment.
• Organize stockroom for cleanliness and efficiency of supplies.
• Perform light maintenance (bulbs, tires, fluids).
• Refuel ambulances and monitor fuel levels; assist operations as needed.
• Communicate with logistics supervisor/manager about status of ambulances and equipment.
• Adhere to all company and county guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Deliver supplies and equipment up to 75 pounds to deployment stations.
• Inventory management and processing of inventory requests.
• Transport ambulances.
• Take ambulances for oil changes.

Job description

As a Vehicle Supply Technician at Northwest Ambulance, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of medical and emergency supplies in our fleet of ambulances. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our vehicles are stocked with the necessary supplies for responding to emergencies and providing patient care. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to the efficient operation and readiness of our ambulance fleet.

Responsibilities

• Clean and wash ambulances, both interior and exterior
• Stock ambulances with medical supplies and equipment
• Inspect and maintain medical equipment, ensuring proper function
• Maintain and clean gurneys, CCT, and Bariatric equipment
• Organize and ensure cleanliness and efficiency of the stockroom, including medical and office supplies
• Perform light maintenance, such as replacing bulbs, and conducting tire and fluid checks
• Refuel ambulances and monitor fuel levelsAssist operations with various tasks and errands as needed
• Communicate proactively with the logistics supervisor/manager regarding ambulance and equipment status
• Adhere to all relevant company and county guidelines
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
• Delivery of supplies and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds to deployment stations
• Inventory management and completion of inventory requests
• Transport ambulances
• Take ambulances to get oil changed

Education and Experience

• A high school diploma or its equivalent
• Preferred experience of at least one year in a related field
• Preferred knowledge of inventory management software
• Familiarity with medical supplies is desirable
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required during the onboarding process
• Must hold a valid driver's license for a minimum of 2 years

Physical Requirements

• The position requires full range of motion including standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pulling and pushing, lifting, and grasping
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds on occasion
