Job summary

America's Car-Mart is seeking a Vehicle Quality Control Inspector to ensure our vehicles meet quality standards before customers. You will inspect, road-test, and evaluate vehicles, determine reconditioning needs, and help control costs.

This role requires strong automotive knowledge, negotiation skills, and attention to detail to partner with stores and repair facilities, documenting progress in ALIS and supporting timely readiness.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Automotive industry experience in inspections, service advising, estimating, or reconditioning.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, repair processes, and reconditioning requirements.
• Ability to accurately assess vehicle condition and identify repair needs.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, road test, and evaluate vehicles to meet quality standards.
• Determine repair and reconditioning needs through inspections, testing, and performance evaluations.
• Establish and coordinate fair market values for vehicles with store teams.
• Provide accurate estimates for reconditioning work and costs.
• Negotiate labor rates, parts pricing, and repair agreements with vendors.
• Source parts through online suppliers and local vendors for best value.
• Compare repair facilities and costs for efficient use of resources.
• Track vehicle locations and document in ALIS throughout reconditioning.
• Collaborate with stores and repair facilities to ensure timely readiness.
• Support goals by maintaining quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
