Advantage Technical in Wayne, MI is seeking a Qualitly / Reliability Engineer for body exterior systems to support vehicle quality, manufacturing performance, and problem resolution in a high‑volume automotive assembly environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a mechanical engineering degree and have 5+ years in manufacturing, quality, product development, or program engineering, with strong root‑cause analysis and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, product development, program management, or engineering.
• Six Sigma Black Belt training is a plus.
• Master's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve vehicle quality issues affecting production and customer satisfaction
• Support manufacturing operations by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve product performance
• Analyze component, process, and assembly concerns to drive quality improvements
• Support quality objectives related to body exterior systems, including trim, decals, bumpers, latches, and sealing components
• Review manufacturing data and provide technical recommendations for process improvements
• Participate in cross-functional problem-solving and continuous improvement activities
