SA Recycling in Wright City, MO is hiring a Laborer to decommission vehicles, drain fluids, and remove batteries and components for crushing. The role includes yard clean-up, materials handling, and ensuring safety and quality of scrap processing. Outdoor work in varying weather and adherence to safety standards are expected.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience preferred, and basic HVAC knowledge. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Front end loader or telescoping boom forklift experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to follow written or spoken instructions.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Drain and capture all fluids; remove battery and identified parts to prepare vehicles for crushing.
• Operate hand tools, air compressors, racks, and recovery equipment.
• Recapture refrigerants from appliances, AC units, and vehicles.
• Sort scrap and prepare metal for processing.
• Maintain a safe environment for all personnel and visitors.
• Inspect equipment daily and report defects to supervisor.
• Provide yard assistance as needed.
• Follow SA Recycling safety rules and procedures.
