Job summary

Penske Vehicle Services in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Porter for multi-functional support across Mechanical, Paint, Quality and Company Vehicle Operations. The role involves moving vehicles on public roads between locations and organizing vehicles in lots on the ground.

The Porter assists with fueling, vacuuming, cleaning, and basic inspections of used vehicles, and helps in the vehicle exchange process during drop-offs and pickups.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent driving record (less than 4 points on driving record).
• Able to drive a manual transmission (Preferred but not required).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Capable written and oral communication.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Parking lot organization of vehicles in accordance with lot numbering.
• Responsible for moving company vehicles to appropriate location.
• Responsible for fueling, vacuuming and cleaning/washing company vehicles.
• Perform physical inspections of used vehicles.
• Assist in the exchange process of vehicles being dropped off or picked up.
• Reconciling vehicle shippers and recording VIN #'s to match with inventory system.
• Filing of vehicle paperwork and other office tasks.
• Following all company policies relating to safe driving.
• Other duties deemed necessary by management.

Description
