Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Vehicle Patrol in Thousand Oaks, CA. This full-time role protects government facilities, conducts routine unarmed patrols, monitors access, and responds to incidents with professionalism.

Strong customer service, clear communication, and adherence to site protocols are essential. A DoD Secret clearance and a valid California driver’s license are required, with training and advancement opportunities available.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
