Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) seeks a Cost Analyst to join the Cost Management team focused on Parts Development. You will analyze parts cost, monitor changes, and support weekly/monthly financial reporting with cross-functional collaboration.

The role emphasizes material cost analysis, tooling investment budgeting, VA/VE activities, supplier reconciliations, and cost optimization initiatives. Strong accounting, systems, and Excel/SAP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in Procurement/Supply Chain in a large manufacturer.
• Strong MS Excel and SAP ERP proficiency.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Integrity, ethics, and strong business acumen.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; effective team player.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Occasional travel required (<5%).
• Automotive/manufacturing cost analysis experience preferred; OEM/supplier exposure is a plus.
• English and Korean language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead vehicle-level material cost calculations for new and existing vehicles and report progress to management.
• Gather and consolidate material costs, analyze variances by vehicle and supplier.
• Assess cost impacts from tariffs, raw materials, and labor; support pricing decisions with Commercial and Procurement.
• Validate, track, and forecast procurement costs for vehicle parts.
• Evaluate design/material changes for cost impact.
• Provide insights to optimize cost efficiency and financial performance.
• Oversee tooling budget and assetization process with Finance.
• Collect and report VA/VE proposals; participate in cost optimization meetings.
• Manage material cost re-evaluation reporting and SAP retro-processing with Finance.
• Support localization, data gathering, and reporting tasks as needed.
