Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager for Parts Development overseeing powertrain engine and transmission sourcing, supplier selection, and program milestones. You will lead supplier development, negotiate long-term agreements, drive cost reduction, and partner with Engineering, Quality, Production and R&D to ensure flawless launches.

Domestic and international travel may be required; bilingual English/Korean/Spanish is a plus; a Bachelor's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting from accredited university.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Minimum 7 years of related job experience in automotive purchasing or program management.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, supplier development and launches in the automotive sector.

Responsibilities

• Understand program sourcing and key milestones in support of launch.
• Identify suppliers, analyze capabilities, determine price, and select with Engineering teams.
• Prepare and own RFIs, RFPs and RFQs for multi-year production volumes.
• Negotiate long-term agreements and manage cost reduction activities.
• Lead cradle-to-grave supplier management through HMG’s Parts Development process.
• Drive flawless launches at supplier sites with cross-functional teams.
