Job summary

Peach State Truck Centers in Jefferson, GA is seeking a spray painter to apply protective or decorative coatings to trucks, buses, and other vehicles using a spray gun.

The role requires preparing surfaces, sanding, priming, masking, and ensuring paint readiness, with safety gear and respirator use. Previous painting experience and ability to disassemble/reassemble parts for access are a plus.

Qualifications

• Review repair estimates for painting instructions and create plan to perform work.
• Disassemble and re-assemble of truck parts and accessories for access to painted surfaces.
• Sand, prime and prep painted surfaces for painting.
• Operate air operated sanding and grinding equipment.
• Proper training for applying paint products and knowledge of paint mixing procedures.
• Familiar with safety equipment for painting, respirators, body protection ect.

Responsibilities

• Provide proper tools and tool storage for performing assigned tasks.
• Ability to identify that surfaces are paint ready before applying paint products.
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

Knowledge of respirator systems

Education

One year certificate from a fully accredited college or technical school

Minimum of two years related experience and/or training

An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
