Job summary

Management & Training Corporation is seeking a driver to operate light trucks, buses, and passenger vehicles to transport passengers and materials in Astoria, OR. You will ensure vehicles meet schedules and safety standards while maintaining records and reporting issues.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, one year of related experience, and a valid CDL with an acceptable driving record. Benefits are provided as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of related driving or passenger service experience preferred.
• A valid commercial driver license (CDL) in the state of the facility with an acceptable driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Keep vehicles in a clean and orderly condition.
• Operate light trucks, buses and passenger vehicles to transport passengers and materials.
• Adhere to established schedules and government/management directives.
• Maintain driver records and reports.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report needed repairs.
• Promote positive customer service and support student employability programs.

What you will be doing:

You’ll be responsible for keeping vehicles in a clean and orderly condition and for operating vehicles for the purpose of transporting passengers and materials, in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential functions:

• Operate light truck, busses and passenger vehicles; transport passengers and/or packages; ensure adherence to established schedules.
• Maintain required driver records and reports.
• Perform routine vehicle equipment inspection daily, including lights, breaks, mirrors, steering, and other required operating equipment; recommend mechanical repairs as needed.
• Promote and support positive customer service through the facility.
• Participate and promote student employability programs and activities.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year related experience.
• A valid commercial driver license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record required.
