Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, OR. This full-time role involves monitoring residents, enforcing center rules, and fostering a supportive living environment for students on site.

You will document incidents, assist with dorm activities, and transport students to recreation events, while maintaining safety and accountability across shifts (3:00pm–12:00am or 11:30pm–8:30am).

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and walk outdoors in varying weather.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist with dorm activities and dorm competitions as designated by supervisor.
• Help students deal with daily stresses of dorm living and enlighten them to its perks.
• Prepare documentation including accountability and an activity log.
• Transport students to and from recreation functions as required.
• Conduct the residential living class, as assigned.
• Develop and participate in a special interest group and perform quarterly property inventory.
• Patrol and monitor dorm and grounds.

Sign On Bonus $1000.00

Schedule – Full Time, 8hr shifts, Prime/Swing Shift 3:00pm-12am or Night/Graveyard 11:30pm-8:30am

What you will be doing:

You’ll be responsible for monitoring students that live on residential floors to ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of the Center. Fosters an atmosphere conducive to character development through the encouragement of favorable behavior patterns. Facilitates prompt and appropriate assistance in the event of injury, illness, traumatic experience, and emotionalism; responsible for documenting student activity and incidences.

Essential Functions:

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency,
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds, and walk outside on uneven terrain in varying weather conditions during patrols
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
