Account Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee client relationships and ensure the delivery of exceptional service. The successful candidate will manage communication, coordinate repairs, and facilitate vehicle sales processes, among other responsibilities.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication and meeting customer requirements.
- Vehicle Condition Communication: Relay information about vehicle conditions to clients and obtain necessary approvals for repairs and reconditioning.
- Repair and Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with mechanic shops to ensure timely repairs and keep clients updated on progress.
- Report Management: Review, update, and audit vehicle condition and repair reports.
- Customer Service: Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and provide high-quality service.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Work with Lot Operations and Recon departments to facilitate vehicle movement and reconditioning.
- Sale Preparation: Assist in preparing vehicles for sale, including scheduling, run order, and customer notifications.
- Key and Vehicle Organization: Manage keys and ensure proper scanning and organization of vehicles.
- Sale Line-Up and Auction Readiness: Review sale line-up, locate missing vehicles, and prepare vehicles for auction.
- Safety and Representation: Follow safety procedures and represent the sales lane during sale days.
- Auction and Online Operations: Coordinate vehicle readiness for in-lane and online auctions.
- Customer Care and Vehicle Inspection: Address customer issues and inspect vehicles, recommending reconditioning to enhance value.
- Transportation and File Management: Arrange transportation, manage vehicle files, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Report and Inventory Management: Prepare reports and maintain physical and digital inventory records.
- Online Operations and Additional Duties: Collaborate with online teams and perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience, or alternative combinations of education and experience as specified.
- Attention to detail and ability to work effectively with teams.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills across various channels.
- Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
- Adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Customer-focused and service-oriented mindset.
