Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) ESG Flight Software team in Seal Beach, CA is seeking Software Engineers for Vehicle Management Systems. Collaborate across systems, flight software, and test teams to translate ICDs into robust architectures and verify with CI/CD pipelines.

Roles range from Associate to Experienced software engineers. You will develop and test software near flight hardware with emphasis on safety, reliability, and performance, in a collaborative environment that values

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher required.
• 1+ years of experience with C, C++, Python and/or shell scripts.
• 1+ years in UNIX or LINUX environments.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Git Bash, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, and Artifactory.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine vehicle management software requirements and system-level design inputs.
• Develop and integrate vehicle management software and external functions into VMS.
• Plan and execute verification and validation activities with test strategies, plans, and cases.
• Configure and manage hardware/software/network test environments for reliable validation.
• Perform manual and automated testing; build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Support issue investigation and resolution for defects and provide design feedback.
• Maintain engineering and test documentation aligned with privacy/security standards.
• Contribute to process improvements using current tools and methods in software development and testing.
• Coordinate test and verification efforts across multifunctional teams; assist project management for test execution.
