Clean Harbors Kingston, MA is seeking a Shop Manager to lead a state-of-the-art facility, overseeing production, assembly, maintenance and operations related to manufacturing and fleet equipment.

You will drive safety culture, hit production targets, manage budgets, coach teams, and implement lean improvements while ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of management experience in manufacturing, trucking, heavy equipment, automotive, or transportation industries.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, six sigma, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct daily manufacturing and production activities.
• Manage production schedules to meet delivery requirements.
• Supervise production supervisors, technicians, assemblers, and support staff.
• Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company safety standards.
• Implement lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, maintenance, and logistics teams.
• Maintain quality control standards for truck components, assemblies, and finished vehicles.
• Analyze production data and develop corrective actions to improve performance.
• Manage departmental budgets and control manufacturing costs.
• Support preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Train, coach, and evaluate employee performance.
• Ensure compliance with and regulatory requirements.

Clean Harbors Kingston, MA is looking for a Shop Manager to join their safety conscious team! This position will be responsible for the state-of-the-art facility and keeping up with continuous improvements and the safety culture within the organization.

The Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing production, assembly, maintenance, and operational processes related to manufacturing, fleet equipment, or heavy-duty vehicle production. This role ensures production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and cost objectives are achieved while leading teams to maximize efficiency and continuous improvement.
