Job summary

Clean Harbors Henderson, CO is seeking a 2nd Shift Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to join a safety‑conscious team. You will be responsible for repairs and preventive maintenance of the company fleet.

Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance and inspections, changing oil, checking batteries, and assisting drivers with vehicle issues. A high school diploma and tools are required; DOT inspection experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • 1+ years prior experience working on heavy duty-trucks and equipment.
  • 1+ years DOT inspection experience required.
  • Must provide own basic tools.
  • Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required).
  • Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Move company equipment safely on yard as needed.
  • Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
  • Complete daily checklist as required.
  • Ensure equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements.
  • Maintain facility via housekeeping duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
