Job summary

Holmes Motors is seeking an Automotive Initial Inspection Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain, repair, document, and prepare each vehicle for its next step in the reconditioning process.

You will road-test, perform a complete visual inspection with a lift, document findings, and ensure every vehicle is ready for the next department while using diagnostic equipment to scan for codes and document results.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive inspection experience or equivalent.
• Able to identify mechanical, safety and condition issues.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Road-test vehicles to identify noises, drivability issues and other concerns.
• Perform complete visual inspection using lift and undercarriage check.
• Document all findings clearly and request needed parts.
• Perform oil changes and record services performed.
• Use diagnostic tools to scan for warning codes and log results.
• Replace tires and TPMS sensors as needed and balance tires.
