Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager for Vehicle Hardware Engineering to lead subsystem development from concept to market, aligning cost, mass, and performance targets with cross-functional teams.

You will own timing plans, manage supplier activities, and ensure compliance with Rivian processes. The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 5+ years in automotive development, including at least one vehicle launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years automotive product development experience with at least one vehicle launch.
• Knowledge of automotive design processes and system requirements.
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication for technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead matrix organization to deliver vehicle hardware subsystems.
• Drive cross-functional issue resolution and change management.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, and Studio.
• Manage performance metrics including quality, validation, and subsystem performance.
• Ensure cost, tooling, mass, and ED&D targets are met.
• Verify components meet vehicle requirements and assist with issues.
• Create subsystem development timing plans, including supplier sourcing.
• Ensure on-time delivery of parts to builds and recovery plans.
• Coordinate on-site with launch locations.
• Uphold Rivian Compass in all actions.
