Smart Start in Houston, TX is seeking a Service Technician to install, service and troubleshoot alcohol monitoring and vehicle electronics on-site. You will train customers, provide phone support, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

With a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating Saturdays, this non-exempt, hourly role emphasizes reliability, data security, and strong communication to support regional operations and hands-on vehicle work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required and willingness to learn.
• Experience with 12-volt DC systems and vehicle electronics is preferred.
• Ability to perform diagnostics, wiring tasks, and provide phone support.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and remove alcohol monitoring devices and vehicle electronics.
• Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free work environment.
• Provide customer training and phone support to ensure satisfaction.
• Make reminder calls weekly for upcoming appointments and perform inventory checks.
• Support regional operations and conduct vehicle-to-vehicle transfers as needed.
