Smart Start, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician in Austin to ensure reliable operation of alcohol monitoring and vehicle electronics.

This on-site role blends hands-on electrical work with exceptional customer service, requiring training and problem-solving skills for field installations and ongoing support. You will install, calibrate, and service devices, provide training to customers, and coordinate with management on scheduling and inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong electrical/diagnostic skills including 12-volt DC systems and diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and remove alcohol monitoring and vehicle electronic devices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free work environment.
• Conduct customer training sessions and provide phone support.
• Make weekly reminder calls to customers with upcoming appointments.
• Perform monthly inventory audits and assist nearby facilities as needed.
• Manage weekly work hours and communicate effectively with management.
• Uphold confidentiality, data security, and compliance with all applicable laws.
