Job summary

InDepth Engineering Solutions, LLC is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician with strong automotive electrical diagnostics experience to support our corporate fleet operations in Auburn Hills. You will diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical vehicle issues, and work closely with Engineering to identify root causes.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, attention to detail, and the ability to document findings and recommendations clearly for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Fleet Technician, or similar.
• Strong hands-on automotive electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical/electronic systems, sensors, modules, and communication networks.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automotive electrical and mechanical systems
• Perform advanced electrical diagnostics using scan tools, multimeters, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic equipment
• Troubleshoot wiring, sensors, modules/ECUs, communication networks, and electrical faults
• Diagnose and resolve DTCs, intermittent electrical issues, and vehicle quality concerns
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Collaborate with Engineering to identify root causes of vehicle quality and performance issues
• Support vehicle testing, data collection, validation, and special engineering projects
• Accurately document diagnostic findings, repairs, and technical recommendations
• Follow all company safety, quality, and compliance procedures
