Job summary

Stellantis in Auburn Hills seeks an Engineer for Vehicle Dynamics Digital Development to plan and execute activities for Advanced Vehicle Programs, ensuring ride, handling, and steering targets. You will work with Vehicle Dynamics Test Engineers, Vehicle Development, Chassis Component Engineers, NVH and Durability teams.

The role requires 5+ years in vehicle dynamics or chassis design, strong modeling skills, and experience with ADAMS Car, CarSim, MATLAB, and Teamcenter.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years in vehicle dynamics or chassis design.
• 1 year experience of Multi Body Simulation (preferably ADAMS Car).
• Strong cross-functional team management and communication skills.
• Experience with tire models and ride/handling/steering metrics.
• Familiarity with chassis subsystems and components (suspension, tires, springs, shocks, steering/braking).
• Experience with MATLAB, EXCEL, CarSim or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute activities to support Advanced Vehicle Programs to meet full-vehicle performance targets for ride, handling and steering.
• Perform offline simulations and recommend countermeasures supported by validated models.
• Support HIL/SIL integration and vehicle tuning as needed.
