Job summary

Colonial Group in Texas seeks a Vehicle Inspector to perform thorough inspections for processing and selling client vehicles both in the lane and online. You will verify VIN, update vehicle details, inspect components, document damages with photos and support sales with detailed reports.

Role requires basic vehicle knowledge, report-writing ability, and the stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. High school diploma or GED is required; experience in cost estimation is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; post-high school training in damage assessment preferred.
• Experience in automotive repair cost estimating is preferred.
• Ability to operate computers or tablets and write professional reports.

Responsibilities

• Verify vehicle identification and update Make/Model/Year.
• Inspect equipment, interior, tires, and mechanical components.
• Document and estimate vehicle damages with photos.
• Take photos to support reports and assist sales days.
• Review odometer information and assess frame condition.
• Assess mechanical condition and document findings in reports.
• Work outdoors in any weather and move vehicles as needed.
