Qualifications

• 1 year experience in automobile field with customer service background.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Able to work outside in the elements.
• Strong problem solving and resourcefulness.
• Capable of working independently in a team.
• Excellent communicator to understand customer needs.
• Valid driver's license and insured vehicle required.
• Knowledge of basic software and web-based applications.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform manual labor.
• Able to drive both manual and automatic transmission.
• Vision to identify small defects around and underneath vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Support customer experience efforts consistently.
• Inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit condition reports with repair cost estimates.
• Assist sales by upselling or cross-selling services and products.
• Interface with dealers to build relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
• Travel to dealerships/homes for inspections and reporting.
• Capture and manage photos, match to vehicles and upload to the image server.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles for bidding and sale on the platform.
• Register independent dealerships as buyers for the platform.

Who we are looking for: ACV Auctions is looking for an enthusiastic Inspector who has a knack for cars and wants an opportunity to join a growing company. Our Inspectors are the face of our company. What you will do:

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Partnering with a Territory Manager and a team of Inspectors, conducts inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease, to detect damage, missing parts and mechanical problems.
• Prepare and submit a report of vehicle condition, repair/replacement cost estimates, and related documentation.
• Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and productsInterface regularly with our dealers to develop and ensure client satisfaction and build strong relationships.
• Travel to & from dealerships and homes to inspect, and write condition reports, list vehicles to sell on the auction platform.
• Take multiple, overall, and damage photos match them to a vehicle, and download them to the image server utilizing the company issued smart phone.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles utilizing ACV Auctions platform for bidding and purchasing.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to utilize ACV Auctions digital platform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you will need:

• 1 year(s) Experience in the automobile field (body, paint and mechanical repair knowledge) with customer service background
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods of time.
• Problem solving aptitude to meet challenges with resourcefulness and innovative approaches.
• Proven success to work independently with minimal supervision while working in a team environment.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to understand customer needs and expectations.
• Valid driver's license and use of a validly registered and insured motor vehicle required.
• Knowledge of system capabilities, knowledge of needed/job-relevant software packages, and web-based applications.
• Ability to perform manual labor such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to or more than 25 lbs, bending, and squatting
• Ability to drive a manual & automatic transmission.
