Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Body Controls Systems Engineer to define and develop body control features and software across the vehicle, including closures, wash/wipe, and customizable controls. You will own L1/L3 feature definitions, requirements, and test cases, and collaborate with software, manufacturing, and component DRIs to ensure features are well-defined, testable, and manufacturable.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field and at least 3+ years in automotive/embedded environments.
• Experience with requirements capture, decomposition, and traceability using formal tools.
• Ability to read production-grade C code for real-time embedded systems and validate changes against requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define L1/L3 feature definitions, requirements, and test cases for body controls features
• Generate sequence diagrams and PUML artifacts to communicate feature behavior across teams
• Support software integration and validate code changes meet feature intent
• Coordinate with manufacturing to enable line-side troubleshooting and diagnostic routines
• Participate in functional safety analyses and diagnostic integration for owned features
• Collaborate daily with software, manufacturing, and component DRIs to ensure alignment with constraints
• Contribute to merge requests and review changes to ensure compliance with design intent
