Rivian Automotive is seeking a Lead Engineer for Vehicle Architecture to manage packaging from concept to production. You will collaborate with subsystem engineers to ensure zone feasibility and superior product outcomes.

The role demands strong CAD proficiency, cross-functional leadership, and a data-driven approach to trade-offs, with standard hours and quarterly travel. Compensation aligns with Michigan pay ranges.

Qualificações

• B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in automotive packaging across concept to production.
• Understanding of functional vehicle systems and design principles.
• Knowledge of stamping, injection molding, casting.
• Experience with CATIA V5 or V6.
• Working hours: 8am - 5pm.
• Travel: at least once per quarter.

Responsabilidades

• Act as primary technical owner for one vehicle integration zone.
• Maintain design environment and manage clearances.
• Create motion envelopes and packaging studies.
• Coordinate physical prototype development.
• Drive cross-functional trade-offs with data-driven approach.
• Manage compatibility issues and architecture reviews.
• Ensure installation feasibility with manufacturing and service.
