Job summary

Lucas Tree Experts is seeking an Operations Manager for the Upper CT River Valley (VT/NH). You will lead safety, staffing, training, logistics, and profitability for a large vegetation management team.

The role requires 5+ years in the field and at least 2+ years in supervision, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer relations. You will recruit, train, and retain skilled personnel, optimize equipment use, and develop budgets and bids.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Vegetation Management with 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong safety focus and ability to foster a safety-first culture.
• Proven leadership, communication, integrity, initiative and customer service.
• Willingness to obtain ISA, CTSP and pesticide licenses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all operations.
• Recruit, train, retain, and oversee personnel; manage terminations as needed.
• Oversee training and employee development programs.
• Optimize equipment usage, inventories, downtime, and procurement.
• Drive profitability and prepare accurate bids; build customer partnerships.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive service delivery.
• Develop and manage annual budgets with monthly breakdowns.
• Participate in team meetings and align with company goals.
• Utilize office tools and field tech for planning and coordination.
• Lead crews and collaborate cross-functionally with other divisions.
