Job summary

Atlas Field Service is seeking a Vegetation Management Lead Work Planner to oversee QA/QC of vegetation work and to inspect power line rights‑of‑way for proper clearance. The role requires coordinating with clients, contractors, landowners, and regulators and supporting emergency responses in outdoor environments.

Ideal candidates will have ISA Arborist credentials, TRAQ knowledge, and strong written/verbal reporting skills, with the ability to multitask in challenging outdoor conditions and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of specialized professional experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance, Utility Vegetation Management or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Forestry, Arboriculture, Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources or related discipline.
• Active ISA Certified Arborist certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed quality control assessments and audits of vegetation management work to ensure client specifications, safety regulations, and utility program requirements.
• Perform inspections of overhead power lines to verify vegetation clearance and identify non-compliant conditions with corrective actions.
• Identify and assess hazardous trees and document risk evaluations as applicable.
• Inspect and evaluate trees for hazard or danger using TRAQ methodologies.
• Document findings, compile detailed reports, and maintain records for the client’s vegetation management program.
• Audit Work Planner performance for adherence to specifications, work quality, safety practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate daily with clients, contractors, landowners, stakeholders, and the public to communicate results and address concerns.
• Support emergency and storm response operations with rapid assessments and hazard mitigation.
• Assist in line clearance projects, program improvements, and quality assurance initiatives as assigned.
• Promote and uphold a strong safety culture while working independently or in teams outdoors.
