Job summary

The Tennessee Valley Public Power Association, Inc. is seeking an ideal team player to direct the operations of the vegetation management program for the area(s) assigned, coordinating the work of multiple vegetation management contractors and ensuring high quality service to members.

The role requires a four-year degree, GIS and Microsoft Office proficiency, excellent communication, and the ability to work with outside vendors while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism; certification

Qualifications

• Must become state certified in herbicide application within two years.
• Must become ISA Certified Arborist within two years.
• Must become ISA Certified Utility Arborist within three years.
• Three years related experience in GIS, vegetation, or forestry preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism with vendors and contractors.
• Ability to deal with angry or frustrated members.
• Four-year degree from an accredited college.

Responsibilities

• Proactively directing the operations of the vegetation management program for area(s) assigned and coordinating the work of multiple vegetation management contractors.
• Performing all member service functions to assure prompt, courteous and efficient handling of requests, resulting in quality service for members and contractors on vegetation management issues.
