Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking an Associate, Vegetation Management to support utility-scale solar, wind, and transmission projects in the Western and Midwestern United States. You’ll manage vegetation and soil plans from development through operations, coordinating across internal teams and external consultants.

The role requires 2–5 years in vegetation implementation, strong regulatory knowledge, and travel up to 25% to project sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, ecological restoration, botany, soil science, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Direct vegetation consultants on developing project-specific vegetation and soil management plans.
  • Review plans to ensure compliance with regulations, permits, contracts, schedules, and budgets.
  • Assist teams in estimating vegetation establishment and maintenance costs for economic models.
  • Support permitting by developing vegetation-related language for applications.
  • Present vegetation plans to landowners and community members.
  • Oversee contractors’ vegetation efforts and provide training on management strategies.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate vegetation performance at different project stages.
  • Provide technical assistance during operations to achieve objectives and budgets.
  • Review project documents to develop improvements and forward-thinking vegetation strategies.
  • Engage with industry groups on vegetation management and ecosystem services.
