Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) seeks a Vegetation Management & Forestry Manager to lead a team of specialists across the service area, providing program governance, safety, and QA oversight for vegetation initiatives to maintain reliability.

The role reports in California with a hybrid work mode, overseeing budget, scheduling, and contractor performance while coordinating with regulators and ISA-certified arborists. Travel up to 60% within the SCE territory is expected.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of vegetation/forestry management or supervising an organization.
• Experience providing safety, environmental compliance, and quality oversight to contract workforce.
• Possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily management and problem-solving to ensure standardized processes and 24/7 storm response as needed.
• Act as Authorized Edison Representative (AER) for safety tier 1 contractors and manage contractor performance via scorecards.
• Lead development, testing, and implementation of new technologies for the vegetation management program.
• Oversee work scope planning, scheduling, budget, and quality objectives with providers.
• Provide program management, oversight and QA to ensure system reliability.
• Foster talent development and inclusion through mentoring and coaching.
• Develop vegetation maintenance programs and train operations personnel.
• Create and manage project budgets, reforecast monthly, and standardize vendor performance.
• Serve as SME on utility vegetation management and regulatory relations with agencies.
