Job summary

Tanimura & Antle seeks an Equipment Operator to operate tractors and farm machinery for vegetable row crop production in the Yuma region. The role involves daily fueling and inspection of equipment, and coordination with foremen and managers on tasks and repairs.

Strong attention to safety and the ability to read simple instructions are essential; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. This is an outdoor, on-site position in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three months experience operating tractors or tillage/planting equipment.
• Ability to read simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to recognize unsafe operating conditions and alert management when needed.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive, adjust, and control tractors, implements, planters and technology machines to grow vegetable row crops.
• Daily refuel and inspect equipment for damages or leaks to ensure optimum performance.
• Communicate with foreman and managers for assigned tasks and equipment maintenance and repairs.
