Overview:

The virtual electroencephalography registered nurse (vEEG RN) collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support evidence-based EEG patient care via telemedicine. Ensures quality care for EEG patients across multiple hospitals, maintaining professional accountability, patient rights, and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2 years recent experience in direct patient care for neurology patients in acute care, adult med/surg, or emergency department. Virtual nursing experience preferred.
• Required Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Licenses: Current RN license in the state of practice, with multi-state licensure required within 6 months of hire.
• Certifications: BLS, and Seizure and Epilepsy Healthcare Professional Certificate within 1 year of hire.
• Other: Excellent communication skills, effective team collaboration, ability to work independently, and understanding of pathophysiology and therapies for seizure patients.
