Job summary

Brunswick County in North Carolina seeks a Vector Control Operator to protect residents from mosquitoes and diseases. You will conduct surveillance, larviciding, adulticiding, and trapping within vector control, water management and beaver programs.

Opportunities span Operator I–III; requires HS diploma or GED and a valid NC/SC driver’s license. Prefers Category B pesticide license; CDL required within 1 year for Operator II and Aerial/Advanced licenses for Operator III.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by six months of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.
• Valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License required.
• Category B pesticide applicators license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vector Control Operator duties to protect County citizens from mosquitoes and diseases.
• Surveillance, larviciding, adulticiding, and biological controls.
• Beaver management and ditching to control populations.
• Operate with licenses and safety compliance within vector control and water management.
